Meet our Instructors

At M8 Driving School our Instructors are of a high standard. Both Steven and Paul have been training pupils in the Renfrewshire area for a number of years and have pass rates that are around 10% higher than the national average and around 15% higher than our local test centre here in Paisley. This also shows in their grading of 6 & 5 respectively which is the highest grading Instructors can achieve, as you can see from our home page and prices page.

We offer not only our expertise in car, but also with the theory side of driver training with free membership to Driver Active (normally £6.99 for 90 days access) and also Theory Test Pro. Both can be found on our training page, click on the links on the left.

Steven Porter is also a Practitioner in NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) after training with NLP co-creator Dr Richard Bandler. NLP can help with those that struggle with test nerves and helps to look at things differently than before.

Unlike other driving schools we DO NOT offer ridiculously low prices to tempt people to take lessons with us. Please don´t think lower prices will save you money, you may find you´ll be sitting at the side of the road for more time than your driving with some schools. We´ve heard some horror stories through past pupil´s who have not driven for 5 or so lessons. If this has or is happening to you, it maybe time to change your instructor. We at M8 Driving School pride ourselves on quality. We try to make learning fun but we also make sure you are getting value for money and not ripped off.
